Behind Every Great Home is a Great Team

“Buying a home is easy,” said No One Ever. It’s complicated and time-consuming. And I don’t need to mention that it’s probably the most expensive thing that you’ll ever do. But there’s someone to lean on for every step. And I am here to help you assemble your team!

Here are some of the Key Players:

  • Real Estate Broker: That’s me. I will help you find the right home, help determine how much it makes sense to pay, and negotiate the best offer for you. But most importantly, I will break things down for you every step of the way so you can have full confidence in your strategy
  • Mortgage Lender: This person gives you the dollars you need actually to buy your home. You’ll work with them from the pre-approval letter to the closing table (where you get your keys!) A FUN FACT: Did you know that I worked for more than 17 years in the mortgage industry?
  • Insurance Provider: Your lender requires you to protect your would-be home financially. Your home’s size, layout, and location will determine the coverage, and it should cover the stuff inside your home too
  • Home Inspector: They come in after the seller accepts your offer – to check the condition of the house and make sure everything’s in line. We will review their report together, and I can bring in experts if we need them. Another FUN FACT: I also was a home inspector. Boy, do I have some stories…. 🙂

Whether this is your first time buying or your seventh time, I can guide you every step of the way so that you have a successful experience. When you are ready, give me a call at 317-625-0655, and we can start assembling your team.

Buying A House? NEW houses have LESS space, MORE conveniences

According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), homes keep shrinking. In the past four years, the average build downsized and now averages 2,520 square feet, with fewer rooms. Builders are modifying their floor plans from the once-popular 4 BR, 3 BA layout to the Open Concept with lots of bells and whistles.

This is exactly what we are seeing in the housing market these days. Buyers want LESS space and MORE conveniences. AND it is most likely what you are looking for in your next home.

What does this mean for the Seller? Buyers are demanding that older homes be updated and have these bells and whistles. Conveniences like ENERGY-STAR-rated appliances, SMART techonology, upgraded flooring and fixtures, to name a few. We are starting to see an influx of houses hitting the market week after week showcasing these new trends. Text/Call me at (317) 625-0655 and let’s check them out before they are gone!
