Buying A House? NEW houses have LESS space, MORE conveniences

According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), homes keep shrinking. In the past four years, the average build downsized and now averages 2,520 square feet, with fewer rooms. Builders are modifying their floor plans from the once-popular 4 BR, 3 BA layout to the Open Concept with lots of bells and whistles.

This is exactly what we are seeing in the housing market these days. Buyers want LESS space and MORE conveniences. AND it is most likely what you are looking for in your next home.

What does this mean for the Seller? Buyers are demanding that older homes be updated and have these bells and whistles. Conveniences like ENERGY-STAR-rated appliances, SMART techonology, upgraded flooring and fixtures, to name a few. We are starting to see an influx of houses hitting the market week after week showcasing these new trends. Text/Call me at (317) 625-0655 and let’s check them out before they are gone!
